While a one power and one toughness creature is nothing much to write home about, Memnite is a frequent one drop in artifact aggro decks that are centered on Tempered Steel or Steel Overseer.

Memnite can also contribute towards the payment of affinity for artifacts costs and for metalcraft effects.

2. Phyrexian Walker

Phyrexian Walker is a colorless artifact creature that costs zero mana.

It has zero power and three toughness.

While a zero power and three toughness creature is nothing much to write home about, Phyrexian Walker can be played as early as the first turn to provide defenses against early attacks.

Savannah Lions was a powerhouse in the early days of Magic when the instants and sorceries were more powerful, and the creatures were much weaker.

Savannah Lions nowadays is still a decent value and has much more support as there are a lot more cats in the game.

It has two power and one toughness.

While the card is an exact duplicate of Savannah Lions in terms of function, it carries two important creature types—human and ally.

This is a great one drop for both human and ally decks.

Elite Vanguard is a white creature that costs one white mana.

It has two power and one toughness.

While the card is an exact duplicate of Savannah Lions in terms of function, it carries two important creature types—human and soldier.

This is a great one drop for both human and soldier decks.

It has ten power and ten toughness.

Gigantosaurus can be added to green stompy decks.

The five mana cost can also benefit devotion decks as you get a nice beefy creature plus five devotion to boot.

Metallic Sliver is a colorless creature that costs one colorless mana.

It has one power and one toughness.

Metallic Sliver is a nice one drop in sliver decks and is colorless, so you are guaranteed to be able to play it on your first turn. Slivers have the ability to grant abilities to their fellow slivers.

Kalonian Tusker is a green creature that costs two green mana.

It has three power and three toughness.

Kalonian Tusker can be added to beast decks. It is also a nice inclusion in many green stompy decks.

It can be your second turn creature, and your Leatherback Baloth can be your third turn creature.

The two mana cost can also benefit devotion decks as you get a nice beefy creature plus two devotion to boot.

14. Watchwolf

Watchwolf is a green and white creature that costs one green and one white mana.

It has three power and three toughness.

Watchwolf can be added to wolf decks. It is also a nice inclusion in zoo decks.

When Watchwolf came out in Ravnica: City of Guilds, there were not that many wolves. Watchwolf has a lot more support nowadays with more wolves in the game.

15. Fusion Elemental

Fusion Elemental is a white, blue, black, red, and green creature that costs one white, blue, black, red, and green mana.

It has eight power and eight toughness.

Fusion Elemental is difficult to cast unless you have a nice mana base or have mana producing cards like Smokebraider, which can produce two mana in any combination of colors to be used to cast elemental spells or be used in their abilities.

16. Yargle, Glutton of Urborg

Yargle, Glutton of Urborg is a black creature that costs four colorless and one black mana.

It has nine power and three toughness.

This is a good value for a mere five mana.

However, Yargle, Glutton of Urborg, has some drawbacks. It is legendary, so you can only have one in play, and it has a mere three toughness and can easily be struck down by a single Lightning Bolt.

17. Indomitable Ancients

Indomitable Ancients is a white creature that costs two colorless and two white mana.

It has two power and ten toughness.

This is a good value for a mere four mana as Indomitable Ancients is one of the best blockers in the game.

If you had Doran, the Siege Tower, you can deal ten damage with Indomitable Ancients.
