Lego Technic: All of the Large Technic Sets of the Last Decade!
A Lego Legacy: Technic Sets
Lego Technic sets were first introduced in 1977, and they have been a hit with builders of all ages ever since.
I personally received my first Technic set when I was ten years old. I thoroughly enjoyed working on fitting all of the gears, wheels, and plates together. Technic sets can be much more challenging to build than regular Lego sets, but in my opinion, they are definitely worth the effort!
Whether you are an avid Technic builder yourself or are looking to inspire another up-and-coming builder, please enjoy the photo gallery below, where you will find all of the Lego Technic sets of 1,000+ pieces or more from the last decade.
- Into farming? Check out the Combine Harvester and Tractor with Trailer.

Whatever you are into, there is literally something for everyone with the large Lego Technic building sets. (All sets are listed by date—newest to oldest). Enjoy!

Not Just the Big Ones...
Of course, there are a lot of other great Technic sets that were not featured here as they do not contain over 1,000 pieces. Many of these sets would be perfect for new or younger builders. I personally started with a small front loader and motorcycle set which really helped me to gain a feel for Technics and enabled me to work out the power functions on less complicated systems. Granted, most builders will eventually want to work up to the incredible sets shown above.
