A Match Made in Heaven

‚ÄčIf traveling is right up there with coffee on your list of hobbies and interests, consider this a match made in heaven. Yes, that me! I figured, "What is the best item to bring back home from the cities I have traveled to?"

The answer?

A coffee mug.

How Did I Get into This?

Before I got married to my husband, we used to travel to different places as we live in a different country. So we had an agreement. I buy one for each place I visited, and he buys one. Our favorite mugs are from Starbucks. We love the unique display on the mug of the country's culture and landmark image. However, it's not a requirement to get a coffee mug from Starbucks. We can buy one that is rare or uncommon.

Every Mug Has a Different Story

One of the favorite coffee mugs from the collection is from the Netherlands. Here's why. In 2013, my return flight to Malaysia from Amsterdam was delayed because of a technical issue. All the passengers were frantic because we have to spend a night in the city. However, we were lucky because the airline company decided to accommodate us for food and a place to stay.

It was relieved for most of us, particularly for the passengers traveling with small kids. After I got a room, I decided to take the short time that I have to walk around the city without having to go further away from the hotel. Then, I decided to stop by at Starbucks to calm myself down with a cup of hot coffee. My worry halted for a little. For this prompt incident, I decided to get the coffee mug! The next day, I was on a plane to return to Malaysia.

Expand the Collection

For now, these mugs are placed on the shelves in my office room. Every morning I can choose which mug that I want and pretend that I was in the country. It was fun! By the way, I wish to expand this collection by getting a coffee mug from a place I have never been to yet.

I think every coffee lover needs a variety of mugs from which to drink his or her beloved morning brew. Trust me; it makes your morning promising because you start your day with a cup of good coffee in your favorite mug!

My Coffee Mugs Collection

1. Kuala Lumpur

Remind me of my city. Every morning I think about a good cup of coffee. It has to be hot, rich, and tasty till the last drop. All these by using my favorite coffee mug.
