Top 10 Strongest Quincy in "Bleach"

What Are Quincy in "Bleach"?

Said to be the opposite of Soul Reapers, the Quincy were a group once thought extinct, having fought a long war with the Shinigami. But they return in Bleach's final arc, quickly proving themselves a force to be reckoned with.

Where Shinigami want to purify Hollows, Quincy seek to kill them (removing them from existence), leading to the factions' conflict. Despite this, Quincy share many similarities with Soul Reapers but prefer archery instead of blades and favor white garments over black—which reign supreme? These are the ten strongest Quincy in Bleach!

Quilge Opie

Quilge Opie

10. Quilge Opie

Power: Reishi Cages

A captain in the elite Quincy group Wandenreich, Quilge has several powers, including the shared angelic transformation Vollständig, and he's one of few Quincy to wield a sword. But his unique ability lets him construct energy cages that can close dimensions and trap individuals inside. These near-indestructible prisons persist even if Quilge is incapacitated, and it takes the combined might of Ichigo, Urahara, and Ayon to best him.

Loyd and Royd Lloyd

Loyd and Royd Lloyd

9. Royd Lloyd

Power: Mimicry

The twins Loyd and Royd have the ability to replicate others; Loyd mimics their powers while Rody imprints their personality and memories. Assuming Ywach's form, Royd effortlessly beats Kenpachi, one of Soul Society's strongest captains, and even gives Captain-Commander Yamamoto a run for his money.

Lille Barro

Lille Barro

8. Lille Barro

Power: Spatial Piercing/Phasing

Leading Yhwach's Schutzstaffel guards, Lille wields several devastating powers. His rifle can hit something merely by aiming it, with no actual projectile required and no possible defense.

Speaking of which, Lille utilizes an ability called X-axis that lets him phase through enemy attacks, effectively making him intangible. In his empowered Vollständig form, Lille can teleport and phase through kido.

Giselle Gewelle

7. Giselle Gewelle

Power: Zombie Control

Giselle's brutal power lets her control anyone her blood touches, basically making them a zombie. Additionally, Giselle can summon zombie copies of fallen Quincy allies, granting access to their powers, and if that wasn't enough, she can heal by replacing injured body parts (even lost limbs) with those from the deceased.

With her formidable powers, it takes a special blood-altering serum made by Captain Mayuri to topple her.

Pernida Parnkgjas

Pernida Parnkgjas

6. Pernida Parnkgjas

Power: Evolution

This creepy hand's abiity lets it gain the powers of any organic matter it touches, stealing Kenpachi's strength on contact. Pernida can also manipulate and clone its own body parts, letting it regrow itself if damaged, and by extending its own nerves, it can control others.

With this wealth of powers, it's no wonder it took the combined might of Kenpachi, Mayuri, and Nemu to beat it.

Uryū Ishida

Uryū Ishida

5. Uryū Ishida

Power: Event Reversal

Pretending to defect to Yhwach's side of the war, Uryu secretly aims to stop them. Nonetheless, Uryu is a powerful archer who, like Ichigo, gets much stronger as the series progresses.

Uryu's unique Quincy power lets him reverse events in battle, like transferring wounds he's suffered onto an enemy. He also mastered the transformation Letzt Stil, which drastically increases his power but can only be used once.

Quincy Ichigo

4. Ichigo Kurosaki

Power: N/A

You could debate Ichigo's position here, as he fights the Quincy and mostly relies on his Shinigami powers. Still, through his mother he's part Quincy himself, which lets him use their defensive Blut technique to reduce injuries.

Of course, he's also get a slew of other powers, from his speed-enhancing Bankai to his Getsuga Tensho energy attacks. It's also possible he'd gain a unique Quincy ability with more training.

Jugram Haschwalth

3. Jugram Haschwalth

Power: Misfortune

Yhwach's second-in-command gains his emperor's abilities while Yhwach sleeps, and is one of few Quincy able to share his powers with others. His special trait lets him inflict misfortune on foes equal to any good luck they've had.

Deadly as that it, Jugram's usage of The Almighty is what really cements his power, letting him see the future.

Gremmy Thoumeaux

Gremmy Thoumeaux

2. Gremmy Thoumeaux

Power: Imagination Reality

Gremmy's visonary power lets him make fantasy real; anything he imagines, is. He uses this to great effect in battle, imagining his body to be impervious to damage, healing wounds he's taken, cloning himself, summon meteorites, and more. With this lethal effect, Gremmy claims to be the strongest Sternritter member, a boast backed by the fear he instills in his allies.

Yhwach

Yhwach

1. Yhwach

Power: Consecration

Son of the Soul King, Yhwach can both share and steal the powers of Quincy. He can heal himself and remove curses, fire energy blasts, and wields immense spiritual pressure. But perhaps his greatest asset is The Almighty, a force that lets him perceive multiple futures and guide events towards the one he wants.

Yhwach gets even stronger after absorbing the Soul King, able to construct barriers, summon monsters, and even merge different dimensions together.

Is the Quincy Arc in the Anime?

Despite the unique powers of the Quincy, many fans aren't familiar with their story because the Bleach anime ended before catching up with the manga. Thankfully, after a long hiatus, the show will finally adapt the manga's final chapters, letting anime fans experience the final war themselves. But for now, vote for your favorite Quincy and I'll see you at our next anime countdown!
