Vampires and Werewolves in "Twilight"
Years after its novels and films have concluded, the Twilight series remains a mixed bag, with some criticizing its character flaws and questionable themes, others relishing its infamous love-triangle drama.
Love or hate it, Twilight introduces formidable vampires and werewolves that offer surprisingly intense action scenes. But with dozens of superpowered beings, which reign supreme? These are the ten strongest Twilight characters!
Compared to other vampires, Jane and Alec are weak in melee combat since they never trained in it. But what they lack in direct fighting, they make up for with ranged support—Jane's mental powers let her mentally torture foes (making them easy pickings for others) and Alec can numb the senses.
These abilities scare even fellow members of the Volturi vampires, but both can be blocked by vampire-Bella's shield. Jane's illusory torture also has the limitation of only affecting a single individual at a time.
9. Emmett Cullen
While he lacks mental powers, Emmett is the physically-strongest member of his group, relying on sheer strength to overwhelm foes. He performs well against the newborn vampires in the Eclipse climax and against Alec in Alice's vision of the Volturi battle in Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
Despite his strength, Emmett isn't his clan's best overall warrior, and the newly-vampired Bella was able to beat him in an arm-wrestling match (though only because newborns receive a temporary boost).
In the books, we don't get to see much regarding Demetri's combat abilities, though Bella believes he must be strong to have come so far. But in the films, he's surprisingly capable, having defeated both Alice and Edward on separate occasions.
So, his list placement depends on whether you're going by book or film lore. But either way, Demetri also has the ability to track prey from anywhere in the world using mental "tenors", far surpassing James's limited-range tracking.
7. Sam Uley
Sam leads his pack as the Alpha male. While he's neither the fastest (that's Leah) or strongest (Jacob), he's still a prime threat and can command other pack members with his telepathic voice.
Again, if you count movie lore, we see Sam defeat Edward in Breaking Dawn - Part 1 before Carlisle and Esme save him, showcasing his incredible skills.
Here's a questionable entry—we never actually see Aro battle in the novels. However, he's an intelligent and influential Volturi who has the power of "tactile telepathy", letting him read a person's history and memory by touching them.
But if we judge by his film performance in Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Aro is no stranger to combat, where it takes the combined might of Edward and Bella to slay him in Alice's vision. And speak of the devil...
5. Alice Cullen
Unquestionably the strongest female Cullen, Alice is noted as the most agile member of her entire clan, outmaneuvering foes with her elegant movements. She further dances around foes with her precognitive abilities, which let her see potential futures and act accordingly.
Star Wars fan like myself can liken this to Force visions, which are tangible but can offer helpful information. And Alice's ability is also one of few that vampire Bella's mental-shield doesn't negate.
4. Jacob Black
Mister can't-keep-his-shirt-on serves as Edward's love rival before imprinting on his daughter (Renesmee). Kinda creepy, but there's no denying that Jacob's the strongest of his pack. Once matured, he's physically the biggest (10 feet long!), takes over as Alpha wolf, has the strongest telepathic command, and is noted by Sam as the group's best fighter.
Strength aside, I'd love to witness the awkward conversation Jacob will one day have with Renesmee about how the last girl he kissed was her mom.
3. Edward Cullen
Edward rivals Jasper for best Cullen warrior, largely because he's the fastest in his family. He also has mind-reading powers that augment his speed by helping him predict enemy movements.
Edward tends to fare better in novel fights than movie ones, but no matter how you look at it, he's one of Twilight's strongest vampires. And it's okay that he (over 100 years old) romanced a teenager because he's dreamy; everyone knows only ugly people can be stalkers and cradle-robbers.
2. Jasper Hale
The second-fastest and second-strongest of his family, Jasper is the Cullen's best overall fighter despite having a power that's relatively worthless in battle (he can influence emotions). Once Bella looks at him with her improved vampire vision, she's amazed to see how many scars he has—showing how many vampires have tried to kill him and failed. The Quileute wolves also note Jasper as their biggest threat among the Cullens, calling him "power and speed and death rolled into one".
It's worth mentioning that feeding on human blood makes vampires slightly stronger, and the Cullens would be even deadlier if not for their abstinence. As is, one vampire reigns supreme...
Confirmed to be physically the strongest vampire in the series, Felix out-muscles even Emmett in raw power. While he doesn't have mental abilities, his unique talent further supports him in battle, helping him perfectly anticipate and counter threats.
He defeats Edward in New Moon (in both movie and novel), and in Alice's vision, he manages to kill both Seth and Jasper (though to be fair, they were both incapacitated from Jane's mental torture).
Other Vampires in Twilight
In addition to today's entries, note that some characters are weaker in combat, but compensate with incredible mental powers, like Bella's shielding and Marcus's ability to sense relationships (and betrayals).
The vampire powers gained upon transformation remain my favorite aspect of Twilight, granting each immortal a unique ability and leading to entertaining fight scenes. But for now, as we await possible expansions to the franchise, vote for your favorite character and I'll see you at our next film countdown!

I think Twilight gets more hate than it deserves and has some redeeming qualities, but I also recognize its substantial issues.

Do you like twilight

True, but remember that was due to her newly-immortal power boost that eventually fades.

Correction. Bella is the strongest because she beat emmit in an arm wrestle
